WELCOME TO THE BRITISH SCHOOL OF ZANZIBAR

The British School of Zanzibar (BSZ) is a private school that offers international Nursery and Primary education following British curriculum, it is a social enterprise structured as a non profit under company decree.
BSZ located 3 minutes driving from Stonetown and 10 minutes from the Zanzibar International Airport.

The school established in 31st January, 2007 by three Zanzibaris  business women  aim to be International school with a range of pupils, but also to fund the inclusion of 20% small number of orphans or less privileged children of the normal school roll which will be free studying and the rest fee paying. At the moment we have 10% orphan children of the school enrolment. Nursery to year 6 class, total 47 students.

We welcome families of all Nationalities and provide you with the unique opportunity to educate your child following a British Curriculum within Zanzibari community and accept applications on a rolling basis for pupils from Nursery, Reception and year 1 – 6, age 2 1/2 to 14years.

We offer a very high standard of education, which is broad-based, yet tailored to meet the child’s individual needs. The academic environment at BSZ is purposeful, stimulating, and challenging.
